For the 2019 Federal Elections, the Cowichan Lake District Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Moderator led All Candidates Meeting in the Cowichan Lake area. This will give the candidates opportunity to present their platforms and answer questions from the public so the public can make an informed decision prior to voting.
All Candidates – Wednesday October 16th, at the Centennial Hall, 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Doors open at 6:00pm
The Candidates that are running for the Member of Parliament Position in the Cowichan – Malahat- Langford Riding are:
CHEN, Rhonda – People’s Party of Canada (CCP)
DeLONG, Alana – Conservative Party of Canada
HERBERT, Blair – Liberal Party of Canada
HWITSUM, Lydia – Green Party of Canada
MacGREGOR, Alistair (INCUMBENT) – New Democratic Party (NDP)
STANBRIDGE, Robin – Christian Heritage Party of Canada (CHP)

If you have a question that you would like to ask the candidates yet you are not able to due to work or other commitments and/or you are not comfortable standing up to a microphone – submit a question for the Moderator to ask the candidates on your behalf if time allows. You can also fill out a question form at the Cowichan Lake Visitor Centre and we will put it on the compiled list for the Moderator.
