Lake Cowichan First Nation (Ts’uubaa-asatx) men and women are skilled canoeists who are excited to share their traditional knowledge and history with visitors. After a millennia of living on the shores of Cowichan Lake (Kaatza), there are plentiful stories on the experiences and resources from their traditional territory.
Our waterfront location allows paddlers instant access to the waters of Cowichan Lake. A short paddle along the shore of the lake exposes you to the natural, rich marine life. When arriving back from one of our tours, relax and enjoy the view of the beautiful lake and mountain views while at the Ts’uubaa-asatx Cafe next door.
We collect, conserve, catalogue, research, display and interpret the history of Cowichan Lake Area. Including the communities of Youbou, Mesachie Lake, and Honeymoon Bay. Logging, Railway, Mining and Outdoor equipment displays.

Join us on beautiful southern Vancouver Island, British Columbia for your next amazing fishing trip, and capture memories and pictures to last a life time!
Fish Vancouver Island’s most productive freshwater systems with some of the most experienced outfitters in the area. Kenzie and his team of guides have been guiding and fishing these waterways for decades, and know where the fish are and how to catch them. We live on the Cowichan River, so we have access to parts of the river that no other guides do! We can do sections of this river that other guides can’t. Don’t be disappointed with someone else when you can’t drift a certain section of the river because your guide can’t pull his boat out there!
We specialize in customized fishing trips, so whether you are an expert or just learning, regardless of your age, we have a qualified guide to make your fishing trip successful.
Spend your day fishing with top quality fishing equipment from our various equipment sponsors including Islander Reels and Sage fishing rods just to name a few. Let our guides take care of your equipment for the day so you don’t lose a moment of precious fishing time.
