CWAV Society provides a range of programs designed to assist women in their response to physical, emotional or sexualized abuse and/ or violence from a current or past partner, family member or acquaintance. We also work to increase awareness, educate, and prevent abuse or violence, and work to promote community safety through many strategies.
Our history is yours since 1983. We collect, conserve, catalogue, research, display and interpret the history of the Cowichan Lake area. Our gift shop sells local history books and Canadian books, historical maps, pins, postcards, magnets, toys and much more.
Free admission but donations are gratefully accepted.

The Kaatza Lakeside Players focus is to broaden the opportunities for residents of the Cowichan Lake District to enjoy and participate in learning theatre arts.
Cowichan Lake Arts & Culture Society is dedicated to the recognition, application and advancement of
the many forms of art and culture found in the communities around Cowichan Lake.
The purpose of the society is to:
Encourage and foster appreciation of a broad spectrum of arts and culture in the Cowichan Lake Region (area I, area F and Lake Cowichan) by serving residents, of all ages, through the development of connections and partnerships, identifying and securing funding, providing advocacy and by enhancing both exposure to and participation in arts and culture.
Distribution is the second Wednesday of every month, except December. We are located at 105-205 South Shore Road. Applications are to be filled/picked up/dropped off at the Cowichan Lake Community Services building at 121 Point Ideal Road
The Save Our Holmes Society stands firm in opposition to the logging of Mount Holmes and Mount Good above the community of Youbou and Meade Creek.
We are dedicated to the preservation of an undisturbed watershed, slope stability, a robust forest and a healthy ecosystem.
We will foster partnerships with those who will work with us to ensure that we have a safe, healthy and beautiful environment in which to live and visit.
