Our Stewardship Mission:
To develop, maintain and promote hiking and biking trails throughout the Cowichan Lake region while working with the local communities to create and enhance the support structures and services required creating sustainable, environmentally sound experiences for local residents and tourists.
Distribution is the second Wednesday of every month, except December. We are located at 105-205 South Shore Road. Applications are to be filled/picked up/dropped off at the Cowichan Lake Community Services building at 121 Point Ideal Road
The Save Our Holmes Society stands firm in opposition to the logging of Mount Holmes and Mount Good above the community of Youbou and Meade Creek.
We are dedicated to the preservation of an undisturbed watershed, slope stability, a robust forest and a healthy ecosystem.
We will foster partnerships with those who will work with us to ensure that we have a safe, healthy and beautiful environment in which to live and visit.
Schools in the Cowichan Valley provide quality education to about 7,800 students in a predominately rural area. SD 79 respectfully acknowledges that we are learning on the traditional and ancestral lands of the Malahat, Lake Cowichan, Quw’utsun, Halalt, Penelakut, Stz’uminus, and Lyackson people.
