Founded as Village Market in 1986 by Pete and Jo-Anne Pimlott, our full-service Lake Cowichan Country Grocer is a hub for this bustling community.

Joining Pete and Jo-Anne are daughters Jenn Pollner, store manager, and Sarah Beaudoin, health food expert and buyer. Both women grew up in the store and appreciate the important role Country Grocer plays in this unique community.

As the village’s only grocery store serving 3,000 year-round residents, plus many more weekend and summer visitors, our 26,000-square-foot store today features a floral department, lottery counter, bakery, deli, health foods department and roomy café with wireless internet access. With the warm weather comes a well-stocked outdoor section to serve all the hikers, campers and lake visitors.

We are avid supporters of long-standing community events like Lake Days and Canada Day, and encourage you to visit on weekends throughout the year to take in one of the many fundraisers in support of local schools, sports teams and charities.

The Farm Table Inn is located in the Cowichan Valley, just outside of Duncan, British Columbia, Canada. This Restaurant, Bed and Breakfast and Farm is nestled in nature and just moments from Skutz Falls and the Cowichan Provincial Park.

Owners Evelyn Koops and George Gates invite you to experience their Inn. This farm to table venue offers a wonderful setting to host weddings, parties, anniversaries, reunions, staff functions, holiday parties and fundraisers.

Or join them for Dinner or a weekend get away at their Bed and Breakfast.  Evelyn is the Hostess, Inn Keeper and Marketing Specialist. George is a Red Seal Chef and has spent many years in the food industry. He’s very passionate about food as each dish he creates is made with love. The Farm serves local, organic and home made food and offers a leisure dining experience so do expect a minimum of two hours for dinner. They hope you will “savour the experience” of the Inn sometime soon! 

This food and general store sells butter chicken, samosas, pizza, burgers, fries, ice cream, and more. It is located at  10056 South Shore Road in Honeymoon Bay, next to the fire hall.

The Riverside Inn is a hotel, restaurant, cafe, and cold beer and wine store located along the Cowichan River. It has just gone under new ownership and extensive renovations.

The boutique hotel rooms include options with single queen beds, king beds, rooms with 2 beds, a suite with full kitchen and rooms with balconies overlooking the river.

The restaurant features a bar space with keno, pull tabs, and two pool tables, a lower restaurant space where kids are welcome until 9pm, and two patios overlooking the river. The Best Buy Liquor Store features the largest selection of beer, wine, ciders, coolers, and spirits in town, as well as a full wall of grab and go chilled product. Tobacco products, mix drinks, snacks, and bagged ice available.

The Riverside Inn is located at 56 North Shore Road, Lake Cowichan.
