Chamber 2019 Business & Community Excellence of the Year Awards

Each year during the AGM the Cowichan Lake District Chamber of Commerce is pleased to have the honour of recognizing businesses and individuals who have been a positive influence and have made great contributions of themselves toward the Cowichan Lake area.

It is at the Chamber Annual General Meeting that we will present a list of three (3) finalist for each these categories:

Business of the Year Award – Sponsored by Island Savings

Customer Service of the Year Award – Sponsored by Lake Cowichan Country Grocer

Citizen of the Year Award

Nichole Stock Community Service Award

Youth of the Year Award

The Chamber Annual General Meeting is scheduled for Thursday March 5th, 6:00 pm at the Lower Centennial Hall, 309 South Shore Road.

The recipients for these awards will be presented at the Cowichan Lake District Chamber of Commerce 20th Annual Spring Fling Red Carpet Gala Buffet Dinner & Auction Fundraiser which is scheduled for Saturday April 25th 6:00pm at the Cowichan Lake Curling Lounge – 311 South Shore Rd.. This event is the Chamber’s most prestigious award and fundraising event of the the year with Guest MC and Auctioneer, Catered Buffet Dinner, the new Lady of the Lake Candidates, Silent & Live Auctions, Door Prizes , Dancing, Music and fun entertainment such as the Oswald Awards. Tickets to attend the Spring Fling will be available starting March 6th, 2020 at Chamber Visitor Centre office.

To nominate an individual for one of these awards pick up an entry form at the Visitor Centre, Country Grocer, Island Savings, Dot’s Shoe Store or the 50 plus Activity Centre, deadline to drop off completed entry forms is February 17th, 2020 to allow the committee time to make their top 3 choices for each category. 2019 Business & Community Excellence Award Nomination form final
