Cowichan Lake, one of the largest bodies of fresh water on Vancouver Island BC, is a quick 20 minutes (31 kilometers) drive west of Duncan. The Cowichan Lake region includes the villages of Youbou, Caycuse, Honeymoon Bay, Mesachie Lake, and the Town of Lake Cowichan.

Driving Instructions: From Highway 1, turn onto Highway 18 north of Duncan. After a 20 minute drive you will arrive at Cowichan Lake. If you are in Duncan, locate Canada Avenue and drive along it away from town. When you reach the end of Canada Avenue turn left onto Sherman Road and turn left onto highway 18 when you reach it. Along this route, you will reach Cowichan Lake in about 25 minutes. For maps of the area visit the map section in our gallery.
