CWAV Society provides a range of programs designed to assist women in their response to physical, emotional or sexualized abuse and/ or violence from a current or past partner, family member or acquaintance. We also work to increase awareness, educate, and prevent abuse or violence, and work to promote community safety through many strategies.
Lake Cowichan First Nation (Ts’uubaa-asatx) men and women are skilled canoeists who are excited to share their traditional knowledge and history with visitors. After a millennia of living on the shores of Cowichan Lake (Kaatza), there are plentiful stories on the experiences and resources from their traditional territory.
Our waterfront location allows paddlers instant access to the waters of Cowichan Lake. A short paddle along the shore of the lake exposes you to the natural, rich marine life. When arriving back from one of our tours, relax and enjoy the view of the beautiful lake and mountain views while at the Ts’uubaa-asatx Cafe next door.

With 19 corners and 11.5% in elevation changes, this Circuit is one you must drive to fully comprehend just how technical a track can be.

At Gord’s Fly Box & Goodies, we have an old school style of shop with big old chairs, fireplace, coffee pot, fishing movies playing, a place for fishers to relax, warm up, dry up and swap stories over a hot coffee. Waders & dogs are always welcome.
